We asked Lee Chapman, the man behind the Window Blinds Forum, about the value of the community for blinds professionals — and what’s coming next for the event in 2026.
Sarah Grant
How do you feel the Window Blind Forum benefits the industry?
Lee Chapman
The Window Blinds Forum helps the industry in several practical ways. People use the platform to share their experiences — what works, what doesn’t, and helpful tricks they’ve learned along the way, whether that’s choosing the right type of blind or figuring out how to install a motorised blind.
- Honest feedback — businesses can see what real users think about their products, which helps companies improve what they offer and stay connected to what customers actually want and need
- Spotting trends — with so many people talking about their preferences, forums give clues about what styles, colours, or features are becoming popular
- Support for professionals — installers and retailers often face on-the-job challenges, and forums are a great place to ask for advice or learn from others
- Building connections — opportunities for people in the industry to connect, whether it’s small business owners finding suppliers or professionals teaming up for projects

We found the event to be a success for ACE Online this year and we are looking forward to 2026 — can you give us a sneak peek into your plans for next year’s event?
Lee Chapman
I’m already thinking ahead to next year’s event in April 2026, and one of my main goals is to encourage people to stay a little longer and enjoy more of what the day has to offer. To help with this, I’m considering introducing guest speakers to bring fresh energy and engaging content throughout the day. Their presence would give people a reason to pause, listen, and stick around between exploring the stands. I’d also love to bring in some food trucks — having something tasty on hand could help keep the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming, encouraging guests to spend more time on-site. Another idea is to move the drinks station into the conservatory, placing it right at the heart of the stands. This would naturally draw people into the central space, creating a more social and lively hub for the event. These are just early ideas for now, but the focus is really on creating an experience that feels inviting and worth staying for.
